This_Enchanted  World on Instagram

I have started a new Instagram site called @this_enchantedworld as a companion to my existing @annblockleyri account.  The annblockleyri  mainly focusses on my work as a professional artist, showing the artwork I paint in water-based media, including watercolour and acrylic inks.

This_ enchanted world is based on the world behind the public face of the artist, showing the magical garden where I live and gather my ideas and inspiration.  It’s a nature reserve inhabited by owl and moorhen, squirrel and deer, butterfly and bee- a treasure trove of wonder and the heart-lifting small everyday happenings of nature through the seasons. It is close to the estuary and a secluded beach, located down mystical, tree-lined, sea-fretted devon lanes. There are ponds, stream, meadow and woodland garden surrounding a colourful bohemian home.

My world here is built around creativity, nature, imagination and small rituals that turn the ordinary into the enchanted when seen through open artist’s eyes. This place has taken me by the hand and lead me into poetry, pottery, piano, patchwork and playful experiments with collage, alongside painting. Inspiration and ideas thrive  @this_enchantedworld. And I want to share that magic.
