I have started with practical information about making marks that seem especially appropriate for capturing aspects of woods and trees. These tools and tips are to help you pursue your own versions of these subjects with examples of my own in the ‘Poetic Interpretation’ section to inspire you and give further advice. The final chapter is a personal project intended to stimulate you to recognise and develop your unique interests and voice.
The first sections of the book cover new ideas and experimental techniques, especially those that are useful for portraying woodland subjects. The final project is a section about Ann’s own woodland garden.
